auditoriumA

What is auditoriumA?:

auditoriumA.com is a new
content discovery service that links members directly to intellectually stimulating video, audio, and articles buried deep within the Internet.

What do they do?:

We find amazing content you never knew existed online like: full-length operas, theater productions, classical music performances, full-length movies, documentaries, lectures, speeches, and more.

Sound familiar? Yeah, it's this site. So why would you pay $4.95 - $14.95 per month for a bunch of stuff you kind find for free on your own? I wouldn't, but you have to admit they're locating some cool stuff. On their home page they have NOVA programs, Harvard lectures, and the Washington ballet. Paying for free materials seems counter-intuitive, but there is a free membership that might be worth your while (one resource via email per week).

Hey Stingy Scholar! You've got a neat blog going here. Thanks for the post on auditoriumA.com. The fee is not about the "content" it's about the "discovery" but you're right the free membership alone is worth it!

Yeah, I don't know. It's cool that they want to make a professional, for-profit effort to gather these links, but I think the pay model won't pan out. I would rather they cover the page with ads and make it free. It could be a huge success.

There are too many distracting ads online that get in the way. For less than the cost of a single magazine subscription you get the best from throughout the entire Internet delivered right to you! Money well spent for a real service.
