Medieval Fish
A translation of Lawrens Andrewe's "The noble lyfe & nature of man, Of bestes, serpentys, fowles & fisshes y be moste knowen". In addition to salmon and crayfish, this late medieval manuscript describes more imaginative species such as the delicious Rubus (pictured)that populated the sea of Greece and Italy. The University of Connecticut has a portal full of links to dozens of other Medieval studies resources.
